Flying Debut at Paris Air Show

WHAT: PRESS CONFERENCE to debut the HALO-Proteus Stratospheric Aircraft
Augmenting terrestrial towers and orbiting satellites, the HALO-Proteus,
designed and built by Burt Rutan, will fly fixed patterns in the stratosphere (above
50,000 feet) over major cities to deliver wireless broadband services at multi-megabit
rates. The Proteus is the first stratospheric aircraft designed to provide
commercial telecommunications, including video-on-demand and high-speed internet services.
WHEN: SATURDAY, JUNE 12 (PRESS DAY) and TUESDAY, JUNE 15
2:00 PM to 2:30 PM (1400 hrs-1430 hrs)

VIEWING: The HALO-Proteus Aircraft will be on static display on the airfield
from 11:30 to 3:30 PM each day. Principals of Angel Technologies, Scaled Composites, Wyman
Gordon Company and Raytheon Corporation will be available for briefings from 11:30 to noon
and from 1:00 to 3:00 PM each day.
FLYING SCHEDULE:
The HALO-Proteus will have its international flying debut at the 99 Paris Air
Show, Le Bourget. Please check the daily flying schedule for exact flying times.
